Although only two months have passed, RAAM has already begun fulfilling its commitments. To date, RAAM has appointed renowned Indonesian actor and entrepreneur, Ario Bayu, to the company’s ranks. RAAM is also preparing the opening of a new Platinum Cineplex location in Tangerang, as well as expanding its global distribution network. RAAM is ready to face 2025 with enthusiasm and energy.
RAAM proudly announces the appointment of legendary Indonesian actor, Ario Bayu, as the new VP of Operations & Business Development. With a career of more than 20 years in the local and international film industry, Ario brings extensive experience in the entertainment world, strategic leadership, and creative innovation to his new role. His appointment marks an important step for RAAM in expanding its footprint in film production, distribution, and digital content. Ario’s deep understanding of this industry, coupled with his passion for the art of storytelling, will play an important role in driving RAAM’s growth strategy and strengthening partnerships in the entertainment sector.
Currently, RAAM operates 15 Platinum Cineplex cinema locations throughout Indonesia through its subsidiary: PT Platinum Sinema. Entering early 2025, RAAM is preparing to open a grand new location at Eastvara Mall BSD, Tangerang. Scheduled to open this February, this latest Platinum Cineplex location is expected to become a “One Stop Entertainment” with various new innovations, such as the Activity Platinum Story Wall as well as the presence of Augmented Reality (AR) games that visitors can play. This step is an important strategy for RAAM to attract the interest of Millennials and Gen-Z, who prioritize interaction, experience, and aesthetics in choosing entertainment. Thus, RAAM increasingly demonstrates its commitment to innovation and being a trendsetter in the Indonesian film and entertainment industry.
Adding to RAAM’s success in early 2025, its latest horror film, Pengantin Setan, was released on January 16, 2025. The film also successfully premiered in Malaysia, after achieving a strong performance in Indonesian cinemas with around 850 thousand viewers. As part of RAAM’s commitment to enhancing the customer experience, the company also introduced an experience-based model, presenting immersive horror-themed screenings and direct interaction with the audience. This marks another significant achievement in RAAM’s efforts to bring quality Indonesian cinema to the international market.
Additionally, the film Gowok - Javanese Kamasutra, directed by Hanung Bramantyo and produced by Raam Punjabi, has received much praise from film critics, officially selected to be screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), competing with 12 international films in the Big Screen Competition. This recognition further affirms RAAM’s ability to produce content that captures global attention. It also strengthens RAAM’s position in the film distribution industry on the international stage and reaffirms its commitment to continuous growth and expanding an integrated entertainment industry ecosystem.
