RAAM Brings "Gudang Merica" to Cinemas Nationwide, Backed by Rights Issue and Expanding Theatre Network

Jakarta, 21 May 2026 — PT Tripar Multivision Plus Tbk (IDX: RAAM) is pleased to announce the nationwide theatrical release of Gudang Merica, a horror-comedy directed by Imam Darto, hitting cinemas across Indonesia on 21 May 2026. The film held its Gala Premiere on 12 May 2026 to an enthusiastic reception, adding another title to what has been a busy production year for RAAM.

The story is set inside an old hospital with a lot to hide. It kicks off with the discovery of an unidentified body, and things get stranger from there. Imam Darto describes the production as one of the most challenging of his career.

"Honestly, it was one of the hardest productions I have ever done," said Imam Darto. "We built a set from scratch over almost two months, and on the day of the shoot, it just could not be used. We had to rethink everything on the spot. Then, a month after we wrapped, we went back just to get one shot we still needed. But looking back, all of that pressure pushed us to make it better. The hardest part of this kind of film is that the comedy has to actually be funny, and the horror has to actually be scary. You cannot let either one slide."

The sentiment was echoed by Raam Punjabi, the newly appointed CEO of RAAM, who sees the film as a reflection of where RAAM is headed creatively.

"This film dares to combine serious horror with fresh absurdist comedy, and that is not easy. We believe Indonesian audiences are always open to new cinematic experiences, and we hope Gudang Merica delivers both memorable entertainment and something genuinely new," said Raam Punjabi, Producer and Founder of RAAM.

The cast includes Ardhito Pramono, Fatih Unru, Arla Ailani, Zulfa Maharani, Benedictus Siregar, Rizky Inggar, Melly Manuhutu, Angga Nggok, Bonar Manalu, Rizky Teguh, Aloy, and Dikta. The film is a co-production between RAAM and Pabrik Cerita, the company founded by Imam Darto and Warman Nasution in 2018. Ardhito Pramono also performed two of his songs live at the Gala Premiere.

The release of Gudang Merica comes at a meaningful moment for RAAM as a listed company. Shareholders have approved a capital increase through pre-emptive rights (PMHMETD), with the Company targeting the issuance of up to 1,362,724,000 new shares. That figure represents up to 20% of currently issued and paid-up capital. Shareholders who choose not to exercise their rights face potential dilution of up to 16.67%.

The proceeds have two clear destinations. The first is working capital to fund film, web series, and sinetron production, as well as associated marketing costs. The second is a capital injection into PT Platinum Sinema, the Company's 99.99%-owned cinema subsidiary, to finance the construction and operation of 50 new Platinum Cineplex locations around Indonesia. The network currently runs 18 locations, with a focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Adding 50 theatres would more than double that footprint.

The Company's view is that owning both the content and the distribution creates a more durable business. Films produced by RAAM play in RAAM-operated cinemas, which is a dynamic that improves returns on both sides over time.

What is also worth noting is that a film like Gudang Merica continues to generate value after leaving theatres. Each original title the Company produces is owned IP, and owned IP has a life beyond its opening weekend. Monetization can come through sequel and franchise development, streaming and broadcast licensing, merchandise, and format sales to other markets in the region. A growing content library, paired with an expanding cinema network, also reduces the Company's reliance on third-party titles to fill its screens. That matters for margins in the exhibition business over the long run.

"We are not making films that disappear after their theatrical run," said Raam Punjabi. "Every title we own is an asset. It can be licensed, adapted, and distributed across platforms for years to come. Gudang Merica reflects the IP-driven approach we are building at RAAM, and our rights issue gives us the capital to keep that pipeline moving. We are funding the films and building the screens to show them. That is the plan for this year and beyond."

The rights issue is expected to be completed within 12 months of RUPSLB approval, in accordance with OJK Regulation (POJK No. 32/2015). Full details on proceeds allocation will be provided in the prospectus, to be made available to eligible shareholders in due course.
